The Advent Sleepout Challenge

Integrated campaign launches new fundraising initiative

As the Church of England’s charity, Church Urban Fund helps to support some of the poorest and most marginalised people in England. Remedy was asked to create a fundraising campaign to run throughout Advent that would engage with churchgoers, charitable givers and anyone who enjoys challenging themselves whilst raising money for a good cause.

We devised the first Advent Sleepout Challenge from name generation through to implementation on and offline. We were responsible for the brand identity, photography and a campaign microsite incorporating an animated film and downloadable resources. We also created press advertising, digital banners and a Facebook campaign to help drive traffic to the microsite and fundraising pages.

75 Sleepout events were held in churches and cathedrals across the country and over £90K was raised in unrestricted income in the campaign’s first year. Following on from 2015’s success, we have just launched the campaign for 2016 with updated web pages and targeted Video Ads on Facebook.

If you’re up for the challenge, visit the Sleepout Challenge website for more details.
