Build Africa – fundraising film

Brief: Build Africa works in Uganda and Kenya to help young people escape poverty through education and income generation. The client approached us with lots of footage shot in a Kenyan school and asked us to create a simple, but compelling film to be shown at their annual gala dinner to their high-worth donors.

Solution: We created a two minute story about a young Kenyan boy, Rinbell Ondieki, and his school in Miti Mingi. The film uses the natural charm of our hero to explain the need for Build Africa's intervention and adopts an optimistic feel to underline how their supporters' donations can make a real difference.

Result: The evening was a huge success, with donations totaling £150,000, which not only means that Build Africa can now completely rebuild Miti Mingi school, but also help lots of other children in rural Kenya.

Guests at this event include Major Donors, Patrons, Celebrities and Trustees and the quality and finish of all aspects has to be impeccable. Faced with limited footage and a very tight schedule you worked with us to produce a fantastic short film. It was moving and inspiring – just what we wanted.
