Brief: East Sussex County Council asked Remedy to revamp their homepage so that visitors to the site could access key information and resources more easily. The client wanted a more dynamic site, with regularly updated news sections and RSS feeds so we put lots of design options on the table and called a referendum.

Solution: After extensive usability testing, we developed a fresh look for ESCC. Remedy has since been tasked with updating the homepage interface on an ongoing basis, as well as rolling out other design improvements throughout key areas of the site.

Result: Shortlisted as one of the best performing sites in the 'Better Connected' report, the site came first at the SPiN / Socitm website awards 2008. We have since gone on to re-design the council’s intranet, and other online and offline design projects.
