UK Heroes
Brief: 121 Youth Befriending is a mentoring charity that helps disadvantaged children. Remedy was given an open brief – “we need more male volunteers, how can we find them?”.
Solution: Mentoring isn’t just about helping children; it’s also a chance to feel good about yourself. After a brand workshop and focus groups, Remedy created the new sub-brand, ‘UK Heroes’. A new website, merchandise and advertising gave people the chance to ‘get out there and be a hero’.
Result: The UK Heroes brand has captured the imagination of the target market and attracted the right calibre of mentor. The website also brings in extra revenue from the sale of merchandise, because let’s face it, even heroes need T-shirts.
