Take a trip to Phobia Land

Friday, January 13th, 2012

It’s Friday 13th, everybody’s favourite scary day. So to take the edge off, Remedy are giving you the chance to face your fears and visit Phobia Land home of the UK’s top phobias.

If you could do anything with a free hour. Competition winners.

Friday, October 28th, 2011

Thanks to everyone who took part in our clocks-back competition.

As we’re about to get a free hour (don’t forget, clocks go back on Saturday night), the question was:

What would you do with your free hour if there were absolutely no restrictions?

There were some amusing answers and two or three quite heart warming ones.

The first two pulled out of the hat were:

“I’d take my iPhone back to mediaeval times and pretend to be a wizard”

and

“I’d take my daughter back to meet her great granny – they would have got on famously.”

So, congrats to Phil and Helen. We’ve ordered your copies of the “Time Out” London Eating and Drinking Guide 2012, so they will be winging their way to you asap.

If you could do anything with a free hour…

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

The clocks go back next week, which means traveling home in the dark,
but looking on the bright side, you get a whole hour, gratis, to do anything you want with.

So to celebrate, it’s Remedy competition time again. All we want to know is what you would do with your free hour if there were absolutely no restrictions. Where would you go (in the world, in time, incognito, in a stretch limo…)?
And what would you do for an hour once you were there?

Personally, I’d freak out with Hendrix at Woodstock

Tell us what you’d do and
you could win the rather smashing, hot off the press, “Time Out” London Eating and Drinking Guide 2012. This definitive guidebook covers over 1,000 London restaurants, cafés, gastropubs and restaurants. It’s packed with reviews by Time Out’s team of anonymous experts who have ‘eaten their discriminating ways across London’.

We have 2 copies up for grabs, just keep your entry within the realms of decency please.

Summer competition – get your Haikus out

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

It’s summer, no really, it is, and to celebrate, we’re launching the Remedy Creative summer Haiku competition.

If there are any Haiku purists reading this post, now is the time to look away. And yes we know, the plural of Haiku is Haiku, but cut us some slack here.

There are different ideas for the structure of the perfect Haiku, but in this case, what we are looking for is a three line poem in a 5, 7, 5 syllable format. The theme has to be summer, and to show you what we mean, here’s one what we wrote earlier:

Asleep in garden
Forget to put on suncream
I look like lobster

All your Haiku needs to do is make us smile, giggle or go “wow” a little bit, to stand a chance of winning:
a one-off, money-can’t-buy, extra special prize – your Haiku as a stunning typographic poster –
designed and printed by Remedy and delivered with love (or in the post).

To enter, simply post your haiku as a comment below.

Terms & Conditions:

1. You can submit as many entries as you wish.
2. Automated entries will be disqualified.
3. Entries must be received by midday on 22nd July 2011.
4. A winner will be chosen by an independent panel from all the entries received.
5. The winner will be contacted via email on 22nd July 2011 and delivery of the prize will be arranged.
6. The poster will be delivered in a frame unless the winner is outside of the UK.
7. The winner consents for their name to be used for publicity purposes by Remedy Creative Ltd. in printed and/or online formats.
8. Remedy Creative will not pass on your details to any third party without your prior consent, but your name will be shown on our blog.

Extra-curricular creativity Pt. 3 – WIN A LIMITED EDITION POSTER

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

Ding Ding, it’s round 3 of ‘Extra-curricular creativity’.

The brief: to create a series of iconic posters inspired by the movies that would sell like… err, really popular posters.
This concept features a triple smack-down extravaganza of… in the blue corner, the Kazakh Killer – Borat; in the red corner, Napoleon ‘TNT’ Dynamite; and in the khaki corner, the undisputed Heavy Weight Champion of Kitsch Kool, Mr B.A. Baracus.

3 limited edition posters from Remedy Creative

Not sure what Obama would have to say about our lampooning his campaign poster…

but we love ‘em. In fact so much so, we’re getting a set of limited edition prints done.

VOTE NOW for your favourite for a chance to win a very limited edition, framed A2 poster.

All you have to do is leave a comment below to be entered into the draw. Tell us your name, your email address and which is your favourite poster. If your name is pulled out of the hat, we’ll send a framed print of the poster you voted for, now how lovely is that!

And just for fun, if you’ve got any great ideas for other screen icon / four-letter word poster combos, post them along with your vote in the response box below and we’ll have a crack at designing the best.

And one last thing, in case you’re catching up, check out Extra-curricular creativity Pt. 1 and Extra-curricular creativity Pt. 2

The little green fella has been spotted!

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

Thanks to everyone who entered our St Patrick’s Day prize draw by finding the little leprechaun hiding in our website.

We are pleased to announce the winner – Janet from Aqualisa.
Congratulations, the Father Ted Collection will be winging its way to you shortly.

For those of you who have apparently already had a bit too much of the ‘black stuff’ today, and couldn’t spot a little bearded chap wearing a green suit on our website, he was on the About Us page – and to be honest, he wasn’t exactly hiding.
