UK Heroes
Brief: 121 Youth Befriending is a mentoring charity that helps disadvantaged children. Remedy was given an open brief – “we need more male volunteers, how can we find them?”.
Solution: Mentoring isn’t just about helping children; it’s also a chance to feel good about yourself. After a brand workshop and focus groups, Remedy created a new sub-brand, ‘UK Heroes’. A new website, merchandise and advertising gave people the chance to ‘get out there and be a hero’.
Result: Posters in public buildings and flyers handed out at busy railway stations drove traffic to the UK Heroes website. The new brand and marketing materials have been a resounding success helping to make heroes out of mild mannered janitors, software programmers, landscape gardeners…
